Christmas Eve - 'Down-under'.

No snow glistens this mid-summer night,
the Southern Cross is shining bright.
In the distance church bells ring,
as round the houses carollers sing.
But you, 'up-over', really must believe
that tonight in Austalia it's Christmas Eve.

Awwww, it is out of the box that's true. The rhyming in my opinion is well done which is a nice change. Though the poem itself isn't outstanding it's a neat idea and I like the use of what I assume is local slang.
    thank you.

Cute. I like the way you present the placement of seasons as different from other places in the world; I'm definitely not used to Summer as a backdrop for Christmas!

Your phrases themselves aren't incredibly interesting or extraordinary. It's more the idea that's intriguing, rather than the words. Still a good effort.

    Good luck in the contest!
