They gather: Taupe strokes of sumi brush
seeping on wet canvas of deepening blue
pushing like point of finger
through plastic sky of late summer
drag and desire gather grace
with strobe and surge
of omniscient hand ‘s vacuum
where once green grew to kiss
love’s blooming prayers
kneeling bulrush and keening orbs
grounded in eminent goodbyes
promise a simple harvest to sustain us

You have painted in words a picture
I like the differences and the interesting paths this challenge has presented for me to read. Brilliant take on the challenge. The imagery metaphors of this piece just sit well in my thoughts lingering on.
Thank you. Good luck in the contest.
