Thank You Mum

Missing image
Just remember mum, I'm always there
within your memories,
in all the birthdays gone before
and all that will come to be.

I'll always be a part of you
you gave me life at birth,
within your heart I'll forever reside
whether in heaven or here on earth.

You words of love are heard everyday
floating gently to my soul,
for you always had such faith in me
now I truly understand your role.

Your love and laughter all around
made me the best that I could be,
so smile with me, no need to cry
from your heart I'll never flee.

And as each birthday comes around
just remember I'll be there
and celebrate as we always would
surrounded with laughter, love and care.

For time and space cannot separate
the love of son and mother
and never will a day go by
where we'll not remember one another.
