She loved him,
She really did.
But every one told her,
She was just a kid.
But day after day,
Week after week,
She fought for her love,
That she dared to seek.
A young man,
With fire in his eyes,
Fell in love with a girl,
And she became his prize.
And week after week,
Year after year,
He fought for his love
That he held so dear.
Days were hard,
Nights were cold.
But what kept them going
Was having the other to hold.
But she received a message,
One fateful night.
Her true one, true love
Had been in a fight.
He was walking down on alley,
On his way to her house,
When three men approached him,
Quiet as a mouse.
Before he knew it,
He was facing a gun.
He began to panic,
There was no where to run.
the boy threw a punch
And caught one in the face.
He took off on foot,
It became a race.
they shot once, shot twice,
He was shot through the knee.
Pain clouded his mind,
he couldn't see.
Coming upon him,
they shot at his heart,
But lights flashed around them
And they started to dart.
At this point the police,
Who had heard the gun shot,
Contained the three men,
of which they daringly caught.
Lying on the ground,
Caught up in his pain,
He said these last words,
As his blood quickly drained.
"Tell her I'm sorry,
She'll not see me,
Tell her I love her,
we were suppose to be.
Tell her she's special,
Tell her she's witty.
Tell her I adore her,
Tell her she's pretty.
Tell her she's my one love,
The girl I want to marry.
But I guess when they deal out love,
Results may vary."
