Here I sit with my drink and cigarette
Wishing I knew what to do
For they stare so oddly at me
I know they do not approve
Even though they all know I am only a mere person
Fallible in my actions at all times
They stare from afar and weep sadly
I can not tolerate to see them cry
Far away they may be at times
They choose not to ask me along
They are embarrassed to tell people they know me
They do not hear the beat of my song.
So please, if you can, do not judge me harshly
Give me a chance to be me
And know, though not there yet
I am trying to make someone proud of me.

Regard me sadly, I disappoint them."

I love that title, and that last line is haunting. This is an amazing piece, the emotion is very true and raw. I'm haunted by this piece, it's truly an experience.
Well penned.

This hit me really hard right now, having a night of similar thoughts myself. Very well written, and I like your style.

Making decisions are good but sometimes making no decisions and drinking that drink and smoking that cigarette is the best thing to do. Nonetheless, I am proud of you.
