Shadows Of Butterflies

Dust on a rock
burnt by the sun
yellow and white
shadows of butterflies

They fly upon morning
on breezes kin
till they die
in a quiet din

Water of rain
louder than
your wings
rainbows on sunsets

Dusk has come
to claim
those burned in the sun
making shadows of butterflies

    Beautiful

You paint such a beautiful picture, yet there seems also to be a sense of deep longing and loss...

    Touching

Well I like butterflies very much. This is sad and in a weird sense pretty. I think you did a nice job with it. It's simple, and the imagery was very clear. Good job, keep it up.

Beautiful write. Wonderful imagery in this piece. I liked the third stanza the best. It seemed metaphorical, like the beauty of nature being able to seem like it's singing or something. Keep that pen flowing.
