Engulfed in the Dark.........

Carrying guilt, frustrations
Memories that cloud the mind
Misted with a quiet emptiness

A shortened childhood
Forced to grow up alone
Decisions become my backbone

But faith prevails
A faith that lets the sun shine through
Smiles that become my trait

Choices that push the dark aside
Making way for hued light to
Guide me, away from the dark

............but not Lost in it
