She love him so,
In that was no doubt.
It gushed out of her
Like a fount.
He saved her life
More than once,
Rescuing her
From her ruts.
Cutting herself
Helped her not.
For her well being,
He strongly fought.
But things don't often
Stay the same.
Her life-not even
She could tame.
She had to leave,
There was no changing that.
She sat him down
So that they could chat.
Their time was over,
Their love in the past.
Her heart was broken,
And set in a cast.
She flew away,
Letting him go.
She cried all the way
To that city: Reno.
Circumstance
Rarely sways in our favor,
But when it does,
It is something to savor.
Fate had taken
Her from him,
But they were destined
To be together again.
She got on the plane,
Excited as hell,
To see him again,
To again be well.
She got to town
And went to his home.
He wasn't there,
So, where did he roam?
She went to school
Searching for him.
Her happy light
Began to get dim.
She found me,
Asked me about him.
I turned away
'Cause I knew about him.
Fate is too cruel
To those in this world.
It sucks out our hope
And leaves us to mope.
She knew it.
I knew she did.
She wanted to know,
So the truth wasn't hid.
I hugged her tightly,
With nothing else to be done.
She cried hysterically
When I said, “He's gone.”
