Red brick walkway
leads me though a gate,
climbing roses cross archway.
My steps take me closer,
brightly colored pottery
holding tuberous begonia,
along stone ledge incline
reaching the top,
Breathtaking view
English garden lay before me
flowers, radiant in color
wrap around planted beds..

I really like the last line of this poem - it really adds to the feel of being transported from the reality of life into a relaxing, almost fairy-tale like atmosphere of a beautiful garden
I don't have my own garden, but I do love the parks that we have around here - and the univerity campus is lush and green (even though it is covered in ice in the morning!) you have taken the prompt to a wonderful place with this lovely poem
good luck in the contest!
Keep writing
Polly
