more than my camera can show

reveling in the beauty of this land
half-watched through the screen on the back of my camera,
but fully appreciated.
each photograph lacks some dimension -
I can show you but it won't be like being there.
I store these moments in my sense memory
so later I can bring it to life again.
I wish your face, too,
was reflected in the Mirror Lakes,
and that you were here
to soak up the beauty of Fiordland as well.
