I would ride the wind,
grasping onto the clouds tightly,
pushing down on the
fluffy white reigns to go faster.
Faster, wind faster.
Glide through the skis
with an eloquence
that could only be dreamed of.
Brush my fingers into
the rivers of the sky,
as blown kisses
and secret confessions in whispers
fall in the trickle
of raindrops.
I would release the cloud and
freefall, grasping onto raindrops
cradled by the gentle wind.
On your doorstep I would appear,
dripping wet with my hair a mess.
But, my love, I’ve conquered this distance
that made you ache with loneliness.
For you, all the lonesome nights I amend,
I rode on the wind.
I am on fire with passion,
it blazes in my veins.
As a respire, with a sensual heat,
on the nape of your neck
I’ll breathe my fire deep
inside of your being,
so profound is the depth
that the candle within you,
its flame extinguished by your melancholy tears,
will burn again.
Brighter now with a passion that burns furiously,
feverishly, that I can see the
volatile sway of the flame on the wick of the candle
alight in your eyes,
finally alive again.
For you, the symbol of my desire,
I breathe fire.
Together, a singular entity
running amuck
in a world so clever,
so cavalier.
I reached out my hand and took
a chunk of the earth,
pieces of Antarctica falling between
the cracks in my fingers.
Scooping a handful of the sea into the cup,
I mixed the sloshing waters
with the vibrant flowers
that color the dull landscape beautiful.
My fingers then dug around, removing the
parcel of land that had separated us
those dreadful miles.
In my hand, I created a drink
to soothe your nerves
of the distance between us,
forever now closing the gap
between your doorstep and mine.
Cheers to amatory wine,
forged with the fruits of happiness.
For you I: rode on the wind, breathed fire and drank the earth
I would do it all again if to the smile it would give birth.
