waylaid by a siren's song
in the shout of a conch shell heart
showed me the way to a stranger shore
where arms waited impatiently
laying me down in deep leafy shade,
sighing, the ecstasy in love we made
asking me if forever was too long,
holding me safe in his poetry and song
we met in a dream on an island of fantasy
living our life together; the wanted reality
