Demolition Process

I think it was during Science class.
It was some controversial discussion
that I wanted nothing to do with.
Quantum Physics I believe.
Where's the point in that?

So, I sat in class and thought.
I daydreamed of everything.
Thoughts to bewitch
and render sanity minuscule.
I think they existed somewhere
down in the contours of my memory.
Where dreams met reality
and melded into something.

I sought to erase torment
and convey an eloquent truth.
At a confined vantage point,
yet I saw and was able to say
more in this silence than anyone.

Vindictive is the world,
with its execration toward any and all.
"Shun the different! Shun!"
That has become the universal cry.
One end has a yearning for blood,
boldly stating their disdain.
The other end uses fallacy,
singing lullabies for placation,
even though they never cared.

During my thought process,
I reached quite the enigma.
I could see what was happening to us,
in our advanced state of wish fulfillment.
We reject our truths and erase our past.
Easily we devour lies with greed.
Are they easier to believe than reality?

In the midst of all of our lives,
somehow things got flipped upside down.
We began something we can hardly stop;
a demolition process.

I used the word bank you see above. (No, they aren't in that order.) I don't really know if this one quite makes as much sense as I'd like it to. I might just trash it all together. However, enjoy and critque while it is here.

Wow! Actually it made plenty sense and quite profound sense too! I loved the 'daydreaming in class' setting as I have many guilty memories of that habit! I also loved the way the 'day dreaming' turned into a philosophical discussion on life, because it really is what happens sometimes! We are often involved in some discussion, activity or situation, where we don't for many reasons speak out what we feel, but our minds play out a courtroom scene as we argue high principles and cut through all the falseness the world offers. I thought this poem was sheer magic and a brilliant observation of human reactions. Please don't trash it! Enter it in another contest instead!!!!! Thank you for sharing!

what you explain and think of its real.We prefer to lie than to admit truths.. its the human nature of many.. and because of society all those who arei ndeed real and humble are devoured by critizicing words and consumed by mediocre ppl who have nothing else to do but bother other ppls life....

nicely penned my dear. you have given my word bank another level I lvoe it!

Indeed, at this rate, we will destroy what's left of any humanity, faith, and integrity that's left to the common man. Great work! ^.^

I don't think even I could have come up with a better way to use the words you were presented. Awesome job! You're like me in the fact that you used all the words! Good habit to pick up (from me or otherwise), if I do say so myself. =)

Again, great job. Good luck in the contest!!
