Thoughts of a Sailor

A transcendent dance of liquid crystal,

luring through the motion of the glimmer,

offering the refreshing nourishment

and feeding the quench that makes love shimmer.

  

Swirls choreographed by Mother-nature;

breathes life beneath an aquatic surface.

An exsistence birthed as a gift to man

to be welcomed, cherished and embraced.

   

It's within the secret treasures are found

it is here--where I am forever bound.

This poem was written to be taken metaphorically or literally. I took my time and gave it a lot of thought as I let the thoughts and feelings stir. I hope you like.

    This piece tugged hard at Spirit and while I was reading which I do several times~ Images come to me in many forms~ Love the words: refreshing nourishment- for I felt quenched with images also-Swirls choreographed by Mother-nature-... also noticed this word: exsistence in Line 7- I'm showing Dictionary as existence After reading Your words I was seeing a drop into clear liquid- and then it turning turquoise- but also getting algae- and reference to Life for other species- then seeing coral forming. For some wild reason was getting phrase: Moby Dick- and hearing reference to Davy Jones Locker also The Little Mermaid-Seeing a huge pirate type ship sail into the horizon and disappear- whether metaphor or symbolism
    Hopefully that makes some sense...
    Excellent take on the prompt in ten lines(more or less) ~
