Life is like running in circles,
or trying to pirouette with a missing shoe.
It’s like soaring up so high to the opaque light,
and then stalling and flying to collide,
crashing and bashing into the swelling sea;
ready to catch your every fall,
and not minding the blow.
Life is like life,
and life is like light,
for it shines brilliantly and then,
stops the foul night.
And then when the darkness has shadowed the mist,
an ocean of loving will rescue you again.
And once rescued,
you’ll fall back to peril and so,
a lifetime of loving is ensnared by,
just life.
