Old Lies

Old covered bridge and bloodied years miscast.
Fast flowing memories run dark and cold.
Enfold a stifled mouth of times gone past.
Glassed crystal globes of love's abuse retold.

Foretold stories of your fables, recast.
Surpassed by truth that lover's never scold.
Remold a tale that breeds liar's, so vast
Grassed meadows near the river's edge, so bold

Told many colored schemes, clear water's passed.
Blast my watered words, I'll no longer hold!
Behold, the flowing lies, bridge's amassed.
Contrast with truth, acknowledge streaming mold.

Patrolled old memories that you controlled,
Paroled to ever watch the truth unfold.

Thank you for your entry in the contest. A very interesting and unusual sonnet form, but one we felt was a little too repetitive, but a very good poem.
