Hare Krishna was the game,
As the beatles in the 60's, rose to fame,
Joss sticks, and long long robes,
Indian music on the ear lobes,
Chanting and meditating, they did go,
When the spirit of Krishna let them know,
They had to get a message across,
Yes the Beatles, they were spiritual boss,
The hippy culture came to be,
Back in the flower power of the 60's,
The Beatles brought it home to roost,
And Hare Krishna they did boost,
The altered states of consciousness,
And east finally, met the west,
And the Psychedelic culture now was born,
Everyone on a trip, was the norm,
The wacky backy in hookah pipes smoked,
The krishna conscious well invoked,
The shift from morbid reality,
Marked the birth of new age, totality,
The chanting Beatles changed their tack,
They made the greedy hit the sack,
The magical mystery tour was on,
The faithful followers all made one,
As Hare Krishna hit the scene,
Courtesy of the Beatles Tangerine Dream,
The 'make peace not war' became the cry,
As Lucy in the sky,
With diamonds, came to power,
In the Beatles Krishna 60's, flower,
On board the yellow submarine,
The Psychedelic Krishna could be seen,
The poetic swinging rhyming songs,
The Beatles numbers could not go wrong,
Liverpool was now well on the map,
Beatles music now on tap,
Dance and chant the Krishna sect,
When the world did, the Bealtes, elect,
Some still live the Psychedelic scene,
On wacky backy, still serene,
Peace man, goodwill to all men,
Krishna Beatles, I'm still with them,
Instant karma is the order of the day,
As the beatles krishna message, is still here to stay.

Ah, yes, most certainly brings backs memories, memories...seems like a million years ago. Very finely done, you painted with discerning and broad brush here! bravo... bravo...

Definitely different! Loved the way you evoke a byegone era of flower power and all its nonsense. Great descriptive detail used throughout, made me visualise a long gone time and place. Cheers.
