Formerly green leaves now red and brown,
Come trickling from the trees and down,
Onto the still, green green grass,
Now with fallen leaves amass,
The lovely glow of the autumn reds,
Ablaze with warming glow,
Preparing for the winter's, falling white snow,
The now barren garden borders, once flowering beds,
The stark tree branches exposing their bark,
Nowhere now to shelter, for the skylark,
Red breasted robins come, to see winter in,
But autumn autonomy is now the thing,
Mother natures red and brown coat,
Glowing yellows, and horsechestnut,
Feeding the squirrels for winter,
Loving nurturing maternal mother nature,
In her autumn glory, she is ablaze,
We stand and stare at her splender,
Eyes misted with awe and glaze,
Autumn beauty in the eyes of the beholder,
For all to see we can but admire,
And feel the nip now in the autumn air,
The winter sun makes autumn scenes just glow,
And put on a splendid autumn show.

Very Pretty! Best wishes in the contest!

thank you for entering with this colorful description of the season. I especially enjoyed that towards the end you sort of progressed towards that wintery feeling [as if in preparing the reader that another season is to come after the splendor of autumn]

This was so beautifully written with fresh, vibrant imagery of Autumn and emotions to go with it.
Gorgeous write!
Thanks for entering & best of luck

Love the use of descriptive detail you use throughout here and the use of rhyme works particularly well as does the use of personification. Autumn is definitely a feminine month and just so glorious. Again, thanks for sharing such an evocative write. Loved it!
