Come autumn in multicolored hues;
Imbuing life’s pastel passion’s views.
Hearkening of distant times past;
Sunrises tinged with brilliance unsurpassed.
Chilled poise of October’s favored scent,
~Sighing pastel palettes heaven sent~
When I first glimpsed her my heart went~ hush~
Tingeing time itself with beauty's blush,
Nothing in nature more judicious-
Than lovely woman so delicious.
Whose very smile bestows quietude-
Upon truth’s verisimilitudes?
This Lady was my autumn dandy,
Of County Fair and cotton candy.
Our dreams invigorated once more.
As October relished our rapport.
And now, these so many years later-
Quiescent autumn; our creator.
Memories of her color my dreams-
Like her sweetened lips of softest creams.
Unhurried walks through autumn’s magic charm-
Absconding with love~ arm in arm ~
Was it she who beguiled autumn’s quest-
Such that now our life is aptly blessed?

thank you for entering. Loved the way you personified not only October , but what seems to be the entire season of autumn. Made me wonder if by being female I would have to make the season male in order to make it as alluring as your words...naaaaaaa... it would never work.

actually you're quite correct it would never work as MR Seasons has a really bad habit of running hot, cold and lukewarm. Also, around October each year he starts to fall apart..poor guy.
