Freely He Gave

I didn't ask Him to do it,
but He did it anyway.
Oh, the pain that He had to endure
just for my sins to pay.

He took the whipping that I deserved
and He never said a word.
Because He heard my spirit crying out
when no one else had heard.

As trudging up Golgatha's rugged road
He took a horrible fall.
He dropped the cross, but picked it up again
when he heard my lost soul call.

He paid the ultimate price
by dying on the cross.
Freely he gave His his life and love
so that my soul would not be lost.

wow, this sounds so real, I don't merely suggest we see this as Christ alone but in all of us, it is that sumbolic. I gather many will see this as Christ as just another depiction, when it is not. I feel that this lady is highlighting also, the anxieties that she has taken to also. Suggestions which explode like, a real life matter, other than Christ's, which we have put the onus on the cross each time, a cross to bare, is one which many of us experience during that hard slog called life, Christ's journey is the personification of our own, and it the ever afters too. Lovely piece of work.

An old hymn says, "Must Jesus bare the cross alone and all the world go free? No! There is a cross for everyone and there is a cross for me." So truly we all have our crosses to bear. Thank you for the thought filled comment and may God bless you is my sincere prayer.
