She was all that I needed
each smile made my day worth while
I'd see her face any place I went.
Perfect eyes to lose a mind in
a nose I needed to kiss each day
and always those lips, that smile.
I don't need her any more,
can't feel anything, just get up
go to work, eat and sleep.
How I hate her, how could she do that
I wish I was dead
instead of her.

Due to circumstances within my control, I just now read this. Got the emotion dead on.

Ohhhh ...
Good stuff.
Though that seems hardly fair.

I liked this, a mixture between pure love at the beginning and sadness at the end. You took the prompt really well to create a great piece. Congratulations on a really good write and on your bronze.
-
