I never would refuse a blade of grass
or any gum that came from a spruce tree.
In fact, I would prefer it if you asked
my hand in marriage green and naturally.
I am a country girl, what's more - aware
that things material are little worth
what nature offers us; what can compare
to water clean and air of Spaceship Earth?
What monstrous plastic product can outshine
a maple tree in bud or turning gold?
It's true I do enjoy my time online
but not at the expense of having sold
our landscape, climate, future, way of life
or sacrificed my role as real wife.

And quite a beautifully Earth-conscious and romantic sonnet you've written!!!
Thank you for entering my contest, and good luck!!!
