I was born treading water;
tears flowing
from first flutter of waking eyes
wooing the World
with soft whispers
strumming petals of love
on life's proverbial violin
sorrow spilling words
seeping from deepest shadows
of the heart
sprinkled as seed
upon fertile ground
to blossom as Spring bouquet.

Author notes
"A poet is an unhappy being whose heart is torn by secret sufferings, but whose lips are so strangely formed that when the sighs and the cries escape them, they sound like beautiful music... and then people crowd about the poet and say to him: "Sing for us soon again;" that is as much as to say, "May new sufferings torment your soul." ~Soren Kierkegaard

This is pure beauty my dear!!! The imagery is so very smooth and sweetly flowing, allowing innocence to be discovered and cherished in each sullen strand. An amazing take on the quote in brevity. Well penned. Thank you for your entry!

awwww, ty Muddy
To even be in the same sentence with those poets is such a compliment...
I had been really busy with a most frustrating project (having to do with fighting plagiarism) which wore me out mentally and emotionally and blocked me so this was the first poem I was able to write in a week I think, so I am ready to jump back in now...lol ty for the vote of confidence!~
