Winter's Night

Where are you winter nights?
Frosted breath whispering cooes of innocence.
Subtle snow freshly fallen,
not yet disturbed.
The stillness envelopes this blissful night.
Capturing the essence of heaven in it's beauty.
The midnight hour shines it's bright full moon,
reflecting from the glistening snow.
The minutes fade before my eyes,
till the sun is rising.
The world lights up and life is born,
the night becomes a distant memory.
The day begins,
but I'm still lingering,
in the beauty of a winter's night.

    short but sweet.

i love the winter! autumn's my favorite, but nothing compares to that feeling of knowing that it's cold outside and being all snug and warm inside. i love that.

    lovely write. very nice work!

I like this reading as it does place the winter within me. You captured the winter night well even in the display of the daylight coming.

loved the flow and imagery. and the beautiful and slightly sensuous tone.

    First thoughts: "whispering cooes of innocence." oo I like this part "cooes" has a lovely sound as it works well with the meaning of innocence and softens the word "Whispering". "Subtle snow freshly fallen," inspired me a phrase: freshly birthed tender little flakes, of the yet undisturbed white grace. as well as many other little lines.;

thank you for sharing this i really enjoyed reading this.
