For our comfort, we who have never witnessed war
we, who have never been far away from home
we, who sit secure in America
we, with out endless list of complaining about the trivial things in life...

we know little about sacrifice
...to stand boldly for the freedom of our fellow man

we, who so blatantly say: "stop this senseless war"

look deep....

deep in the eyes of a soldier

he, (or she)

who having no sleep

or just a couple of meals in two days

they, who sweat blood while watching their fellow soldiers drop one by one, beside them

no bath, no basic hygiene in weeks

traveling barren landscapes, while watching endless ememy soldiers attempting to kill them

and as you sit there reading this..

imagine...

the eyes of a soldier

deep in the eyes of a soldier

let your imagination take you to where this soldier has been and still is..

and then remember

that the very freedom we all are enjoying...right at this moment

was bought

...with this soldiers blood, sweat and tears

    Yes It Is.................

Paid in full many times over with the blood of true patriots past and present...Their blood will not be in vain as long as we do not surrender to the terrorists negating all that we have fought for in this war...Like it or not, we have a job to do over there and we back out we will lose our credibility with the whole world and our economy will be crushed along with our very spirits and not long after that they will come after our freedom...Much is at stake in this war people need to look at the bigger picture here. Thanks for sharing this and enter it into my contest and the best of luck to you!!!~~Toni~~

    A BEAUTIFUL THANK YOU POEM!!!!

I am always proud of our men and women as they are in lands strange and far away to not only preserve our freedom but to win freedom for people who may be strangers but are exactly the same as us, ordinary people who only want to live life as they see fit.
