Writing off the board,
Is this meant to represent me?
Am I just a robot
Who writes whatever others want?
I DONT agree in war
I DONT believe in god,
So why am I writing:
"God help those innocent souls"?
I DONT rhyme with pleasure
And I NEVER obey the rules
But yet I write over and over
These words that mean nothing to me.
I love poetry I do,
But poetry is all about me
MY poetry's all who I am
Not some rubbish about nothing.
But now I write my heart out
And write about my sorrow
For this page is for me
And about me I shall write.
I write about my heart aches
And the happiness I rarely feel,
For poetry is all for me
And for anyone who wishes to share.
But I smile as I write
And I feel proud of what I do
Because to me,
This isn't all about you.
This ia about me, and the way I feel for writing.
Author notes
I wrote it in first perosn because I have very similiar feeling about poetry just like what Pamela did.

a wonderful affirmation of the redeeming effects of poetry and expression on the writer as well as the readers. Thank you for this fine entry into the contest and best of luck in the judging...PK
