Tonight I will dream of you,
and the stars will come down
twinkling to my window,
and give light to my room.
And the bright moon,
will glow softly across my face,
and I will see you in my sleep.
You were my best friend,
and death came with dark wings,
and took you from me,
and life here without you
has been like sleeping in the rain.
Many lonely days and nights,
many tears that I've cried.
Always looking to the sky
to see if death could fly...
Over me too,
and take me to you.
'Cause life here without you
has been like sleeping in the rain.
I know in Christ I will see you again,
and often wonder when?
I know it will be someday,
and I know I can't wait...
to see His face, and then see you too.
'Cause life here without you
has been like sleeping in the rain.
I see people smile,
and I wonder how?
I hear people laughing,
and I wish that I could too,
But a smile does come over
my spirit and my soul,
'Cause I know I have
all of eternity to smile
and laugh with thee,
and just that thought alone makes
life worth sleeping in the rain.

Dedicated to my sister, my best friend April Nicole. December 18, 1979- August 12, 1986. I will never forget you no matter how long the years carry on it could be a million lived, and I would still think of you every day that I live until we meet again.

The depth of emotions contained in this write hit me like a brick, with the words carrying your love even after all these years. May the Lord grant you peace and assurance until you indeed meet her again, and see Him face to face.
"and now these three remain; faith hope and love, but the greatest of these is love"
My fave chapter of the Bible is 1Cor 13

Thanks, for this is a personal piece, but I think all can relate to it in regards to losing someone whom you deeply love. I love 1Cor 13 TOO! Love is the most powerful of all emotions, and the most valuable of gifts. Thanks for your prayer of peace and assurance. This year marks the 23rd year of her death, and it feels like it was yesterday. I was a child then, but time has moved on. I passed the cemetery the other day, and it just hit me that it has been that long. We never got a headstone for her grave site, and now in a few weeks we will all read the words of her name. I have written an inscription for the headstone. I will share it with you soon.
"Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13 That is one of my favorites, and also;
"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." This is my hope in Christ that I will have this promise.
Thanks!
