Trying to figure out what just happened
Trying to decipher your foreign words
You locked me up and threw away the key
You caged me
You ripped me apart
Like you did to the butterfly at my feet
Struggling to fly without its wings
I struggle too
I ignored your hateful words as best i could
I tried to think of times when things were good
and before long
I realized that i was that butterfly
The butterfly trapped in a cage
