Why do you have to be
So hard to love?
The vibes I get from you
Are just so rough.
The way you talk to me
In your tone of voice
Makes my heart sink…
I have no choice.
I try to forget
All the hurtful words you say,
But you make it impossible
When it happens every day.
How long will you keep
Putting salt in my wounds?
My love is drying out
Much more than prunes.
With every knock down blow
Another brick is laid
Upon this wall between us
That both of us have made.
These last few years
Have been the worse of my life.
I do not feel love,
And I don’t feel like your wife.
I want you to know I love you
And I am still hanging on,
But my fingers are slipping…
Will you lend me your arm?

A true cry from the heart.
I can almost feel the pain you portray.
With all best wishes I hope things get better.

Thank you for your wonderful comment. As I see it...things are so bad right now that better is all they can get. Thanks too for visiting.

I can see the image of fingers loosening their grip even though they want to hold on and are almost pleading for help. The rhyme and flow are nice too. Thank you for your entry

Take a Bow
The painful rythum of this takes the reader right to a killer end! Well Done!

You are too kind. This one was written to my husband. So, instead of sharing yours...how about we swap? Sorry, I couldn't resist. Anyway, I appreciate your wording "Take a Bow". What a great compliment.
