Siesta time
In fairyland is a warm and breezy feeling.
Ease and soothing sleep
Comfort each with a well deserved quiet time.
Standing in wait,
Just outside boundaries
of dreamland and reality.
March the troops of destruction and decay.
Troops of Red Ant soldiers prepare to battle,
hear their soldiers bold relay;
The Captain calls out…
“Red Ants are Soldiers of hells delight.”
The troops yell forth;
“Your right!”
“Devouring the earth with devils might”
“Your right!”
“No mercy will be cast tonight.”
“Your right!”
“Hell will celebrate us this night!”
“Your right!”
To the left,
to the right,
We march with Hells Delight!
“Your right!”
The fairies should have known,
placing toads as sentry
to guard boundaries,
not such a wise decision indeed.
Distracted too easily,
most were sound asleep, or chasing teasing flys.
How could the Red Ant Captain
have known,
The fairies had devised
a treaty with the Crows.
Embarassing it was for the crows
who cawed and moaned;
We arrived as “soon” as we could!
One hour had passed
and much sad destruction was done.
The Fairy queen cried out
To soothe her bitten children.
“My beloveds,
Oatmeal baths are prepared
Calming rub downs of aloe and chamomille
await the wounded now,
please gently carry all who are in need”
Sweet and wise family relief!
It is true that the Red Ants
were bold and strong.
Yet… Standing Tall amongst them all,
Was the Fat Belching Crows of Victory!
A very wise treaty indeed!
