I miss the composite sparkle of the eyes.
The ready smile of the twingling lips.
The contours of the hands; suave fingers.
Emotional tones that lifted me past myself.
The car where we shared our brightest laughs.
Our first home, where we married and roamed.
The perfect children that we never got to have.
I miss your cologne, your skin's special appeal.
I no longer can recall all of your quirks.
I remember that you were special with the works.
You kept me in stitches, and out of my britches.
I was your girl Friday and Monday, Sunday, too.
Why did it have to end? we started out as friends.
Is life a fluke? to take my Luke? this is a pain.
But, in the interchange I hope we both find others,
that will appease our past arrangement's collision.

a good piece of poetry, ah sadly some things must come to an end, but there are times in the mind that wash over us when we wish to shed a smile.

Tis a sad, sad thing to part sometimes, though we sometimes rationalize away the pain lol

Aww... how sad. This was almost difficult to read, as I felt tears brimming in my eyes.
Great job. I know it's difficult to live on, but you have written this so well and with such strength that I know you are capable.
Thanks for entering and good luck! -
