People have told me not
to entertain such thoughts because
it truly is a beast once unleashed,
but this fight is wearing me down.
Through all the sheltered pain I've
experienced, this has to be the hardest of all.
Knowing within that I''m not of this world
but it seems as if I''m just destinied to forever fall.
Satanic lies whispered in my ears
taking the form of sweetness and bliss.
A wolf in disguise, I know this guy
my soul he longs to win.
My dragon likes to see my suffer,
he feeds on my discontent.
He assumes he's got all power
just because to his lies, I keep giving in.
My Spirit man screams out:
"Woman of God don't give in! Just
continue to trust in the Father,
no matter how hard it is!"
My situation seems hopeless
I'm fighting plight within.
I know to keep this desire chained up
for if I don't, my dragon will surely win.
"I have thrown all your sins
in the sea of forgetfulness,
just trust Me and My word and I promise
your deliverance will come quick.
You've lost sight of me
(Yea tell me something I don't know)
and think I don't care. Barely can you
feel My presence but still, you know I'm there.
I only want the best for you, I have your life in My hands.
Before you were even conceived I thought of you
and yet still, you take Me for granted?"
I admit I'm guilty, I know I've done wrong
but Lord, please I'm pleading! Help me to stay strong!
This is the price I must pay
for these desires.
That which shall
forever remained
chained.

Oh this is so good. I love it. I love the stanza that starts out with, You lost sight of me. That stanza is way super good and I love it. This is such a great write, and I can totally see the struggle in this. I've been there. But this is way amazing!

Nothing I can say here that is profound I do know something that God loves u no matter what. I also know the mark of a good Christian is not measured in how oft you fail but in how you deal with the failures. We all fail and sin. Some cover it

I really like this passage in Luke 18
The Parable about the Pharisee and the Tax Collector
9Jesus[d] also told this parable to some people who trusted in themselves, thinking they were righteous, but who looked down on everyone else: 10“Two men went up to the temple to pray. One was a Pharisee, and the other was a tax collector. 11The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed, ‘O God, I thank you that I'm not like other people—thieves, dishonest people, adulterers, or even this tax collector. 12I fast twice a week, and I give a tenth of my entire income.’
13“But the tax collector stood at a distance and would not even look up to heaven. Instead, he continued to beat his chest and said, ‘O God, be merciful to me, the sinner that I am!’[e] 14I tell you, this man, rather than the other one, went down to his home justified, because everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the person who humbles himself will be exalted.”
Fight sweetie and be honest about your sins. The mark of hypocrites is that they pretend they don't sin and criticize others for their sins. A good Christian admits sins and asks forgiveness and gets up and tries again
Finally I love Proverbs 24:16 For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again......
as long as every time you fall, you get up again and keep trying you are ok. Some fall and lie there a casualty.

Yes agreed...deep emotions.
But let me just say that what you feel is human. You might not agree but it's in our mind and soul to desire. We are not all good in our hearts. So where deep in the confides of all our minds lurks the temptation that overtook Adam and Eve. Although we choose in our hearts not to be like them, we are destintined to fail at some point because we are their descendants. You might not like these words but you know it in your heart to be true. Adam and Eve, though shunned by God, are everyone's ancestors. You can fight off every thing God throws at you to test you, you can keep fightin to get back to God, but know this because he knows as well, there will come a time where you will fall to temptation. I'm sorry that these words aren't what you probably expected. Again as always, good write. You show a great deal of emotion. And remember that if you trust God you can overcome all. -

Wow that's some deep emotions there Ru... it's good that you realize what the heavenly Father is saying to you wolves in disguise are the hardest because all they really want is to destroy you and use you and once they get what they want you are discarded. lust can be a very strong and tough emotion to deal with I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers as I know this feeling all to well stay strong and trust that God will be on your side but ask him to come into your heart in place of this guy...it worked for me...Amazing powerful write!
