You just tip toe by.
You paint with a million colors
But you won’t make a sound.
Another day goes by,
Everyone can see your smile.
The walls just get higher,
No one can see you cry.
Because as the sun goes down,
And the stars get a little brighter
You hide within the night
Your fear gets a little higher.
The tears flow in a silent river,
Your voice is ever so soft.
Your blue eyes close tightly
It’s better to be here than not.
I’ll hold you closely in the dark.
I’ll wipe the tears from your eyes.
I’ll put an end to your horrid nights.
I promise I won’t let you die.
Like a ballerina
You just tip toe by.
Tell me, why do you only cry.
When no one else is around?
Author notes
A/N… THREE HOURS. Three hours to write this poem. How ridiculous is that? And I thought the longest it ever took me was a whole hour to write “…I Love You…” Well, obviously I was wrong. Maybe it would have helped if I wasn’t watching TV at the time. I was too afraid that by the time I got upstairs, I would lose the inspiration. Not to mention I edited the words a billion times until I at least /liked/ it. I just love that long stanza; and for once the stanza I like isn’t the one I started with! The poem isn’t even that long either. Oh well, what am I to do? ---Nothing. I’m just going to post it, the same way I post all my other work, and then I’m going to let you awesome readers comment on it, because I’d /really/ appreciate it. Thanks!!

Wow.
It is freaking amazing.
It is like a good book, you can see the story coming together. And it flows, really well. Fantastic!
I love it!
Thank you for your entry.

Looooove it! You're such a good poet, Lena! I'm jealous!
(Yeah, I'm bullshitting my comments now, lol) -
*is confuzzled*
wait, it would have helped if you weren't watching TV to have written the "i love you" sooner, or this poem? and you mean typing "i love you" in a poem or to a person?
ok, enough about questioning your author note, and on to a comment about the poem!
for...which....i....have nothing.......because it rendered me so speechless! i absolutely love it! it's exceptionally well done. way to go, layla! ^_^

Three hours? Wow, dedication.
I really like it. It's pretty.
I'm not good at comments, haha. Sorry.

thanks! i'm not very good with comments either... but for the oddest reason whenever I'm just searching through I make the longest comments ever... but then it turns to a simple epic win or something along that line.
