a glimpse is all I offer
to all before the revelation
green eyes of envy pervade my
illusion of heather red and
alabaster skin
behind the look is a mind
that seeks
tempt the flame which only
smolders

your wording leaves much for the imagination, and I like that, since that is what great poetry is about!

Nice - offering only a glimpse before revelation, green-eyed presence in the illusion of heather red, concealing a seeking mind, a smoldering flame. I like the use of "tempt" here - it could be either as a temptress or as a life-long learner.

"a glimpse is all I offer"
Sometimes a glimpse is enough...
"green eyes of envy"
Okay...not exactly unique here.
I do LOVE the words 'pervade' & 'illusion'.
"is a mind that seeks"
I like the simplicity here...& plus, suits the pic, for sure.
"which only smolders"
Sexy. =D
Thanks for entering (: -
