doesn't the air
always seep
away from me?
I cannot hold your hand
and lead you through
the ice and snow
we are cut
from beyond the glaciers
and moon till
where we don't exist anymore
our home is faraway
beyond the horizon,
rising like a star
massive, stone, tall
one will never reach it
a maiden and her horse
lost for eternity
amid the winter whiles
yearning together
for that long ago
hearthside warmth
mother-of-pearl
has forgotten all about us
all over again

Such a sorrowful piece, I do like the use of 'mother of pearl', excellent. There is some wonderful imagery within your words, a pleasure to read. Thanks for your entry and good luck

Oh such a sad ending. Written with great imagery and thought that really paints a story to the picture that I can definitely see. Wonderful write!
