Kestrel

A bird: stands upon the edge of the earth,
and seeks the horizons;
where the wind will carry her, she can see,
and then, to where she can not.

She coils her legs,
spreads her wings,
bounds into the wind-steam,
and takes herself across the currents
to where her curiosity desires.

When you land, wait for me,
for I shall walk to you; fear not,
for my feet have a lifetime.

Author notes

Pretty much, as is.  I've been playing with visual elements, so in my copy, the final stanza runs in italics.  Here, I've seperated it, though it doesn't have the same effect.  Subscription, anyone?

As always, criticism is encouraged, but please: thoughtful suggestions and ideas, and not opinionated flames and remarks.  That'd be nice...
