Up with the chickens
and out the door.
Looking for treasures
and bargains galore.
A garage sale junky,
driving all around,
Heart starts pounding
when antique is found.
Another man's junk,
can be a treasure.
I search each weekend,
for my own pleasure.
Looking for signs,
sometimes getting lost.
But it is worth buying,
things way below cost.
Things for a quarter,
one dollar or two.
Somethings real old,
some are brand new.
High prices to haggle,
knick-knacks and such.
Then sell it on ebay,
for twice as much.

Very well written and fun poem. I loved it because I too am a bargain hunter. You did a good job with form and meter too.
