Sweet Leilani, that was her name.
She intered the world
Her simple cry to fame.
Her skin was wrinkled and red,
Her head, her nose, although new
looked old, just like her dad.
She really didnt know either one of us,
but we knew her, we're both part of her.
Great expectations, hope its not too much.
Growing up smart, educated, pretty, yet tough.
Unconditional love, committment, caring,
Patience, kindness, tough love and sharing.
Unconventional wisdom, crosscultural learnings,
Psychic inspirations and lots of praying and hoping.
May your long dark straight hair and deep dark eyes
Always glow with the pure white light, not cries.
Be kind to yourself and forgiving, not critical
For life is to short, living with grief and guilt.
