Compulsive needs
rebuked and set to
luminous jade.
Captive glint beset
in the aconite specks,
guarded in seething
flare of charismatic
temperament.
You need not speak,
there are moments such
as this, where minds
whisper so gently.
By troth, pledged
to protect, asking
but one simple question.
Flinched, then pulled away,
sudden rise and fall
of chest.
Who did this to you?

"You need not speak,

There is a quiet in these words that speaks to inner depth. I enjoyed this very much and am quite pleased to see it adorned with a trophy of recognition. Well done. ~Pamela

Such wonderful vocabulary, and yet such depth shows. Your prompt must have truly inspired you, as your piece reflects, that in some small way, she reached out to you, and you knew her, and you responded. Lovely write!

The prompt was very inspiring, and you are perceptive.

She kind of reminds me of someone I know. A very lovely woman she is.

Wow!
Impressive my friend, I must agree with the lady below when she say; "Evocative and Intriguing " Your style is quite unique, and refreshing. I will definitely keep an eye out for any of your future submissions.
I have a feeling that you will rise quickly here at AP. In the mean while, thank you for sharing and best of luck in the contest.

Love the word 'rebuked' and "luminous jade" is a wonderful way to allude to green eyes in the picture.
Other vocab to highlight: aconite, seething, charismatic
Love them all.
"where minds whisper so gently"
Like this...has an ethereal feel.
"Who did this to you?"
Evocative and intriguing.
Thanks for entering & good luck (:
