Robin Of Night

Dusk has come and gone
Trickle of water from little falls
And the robin in darkness still
What strangeness I see

Closer to him now
He did not fly away
Is he sleeping
I softly blow a breath his way

Standing transfixed
His eyes on the water falls
Mesmerized
Again I breathe his way

And he stirs gently
Ever slow
Then I leave him
To his muse of night

strange as it seems it is true; we have this little three tier water fall in our backyard garden, it is dark and quiet at night and always flows...this night we saw a robin just standing on the edge of the lowest tier..even at close quarters he didnt stir or move..i took two pics with flash..then blew his way twice and finaly I saw him motion ..he did not fly away..just stirred a little..tomorrow morning I will see if he is still standing upright and staring at the water fall.. perhaps he is ill of eating something...very strange..
