To show my love tonight, I'll pick a rose
And tell myself I gave the rose to you
The sweetest darkest reddest rose that grows
And hope it tells you all I want it to
I'll see the rose beside me every day
And dream instead the rose is next to you
A perfect rose says all I want to say
And you are who I want to say it to
You are too far away to see my rose
But you can feel the love I send to you
Just like a flower you know that my love grows
And every day my love will bloom anew
And in each bloom reality is bent
I smell the rose and just detect your scent
