Tuesday's toils and troubles,
forgotten,
like the shattered friendship
that restrained,
bound me in the mind’s dark prison.
I shall rise
like a young crow,
in challenge of the wind.

Thank you for your entry
Ah this is taken more as a literal interpretation of the prompt. But it is done an a creative way. Interesting choice to use a crow, and not something like an eagle or other bird. Is the crow of significance to you?
I encourage you to keep writing to read and comment.
God Bless
Tammy

It's not too much of a significance, I have just, for some reason, always associated the crow with myself. They are some of the most intelligent birds even though they are associated with death, which I don't see as a negative thing.
