To My Majestic Beauty

To my majestic beauty; please know
that I am forever in your debt.

I beseech you, wake me and guide me on my quest.

Brighten my journey with your splendor
as you accompany me on my way.

Fill my heart with your fiery presence;
as you have done so many times in the past.

Reach out and touch my face with your radiant beauty,
filling me with the warmth you possess.

Ageless you stand before me in all your glory;
tempting me to wonder.

Mysterious, defiant, and unapproachable;
your loyalty strong and steady,
never asking, never needing, unwavering.

As if you know all and are unaffected.

If by chance there are days we do not meet,
I will miss you more than I have words to say.

I pray you do me the honor of waking to you
every morning, from now until the end of my days.

For there has never been a more spectacular day;
than one spent with you.

    Ahhh. You write about a beautiful love and it is clear to see the affection and admiration. You paint a picture of a lover who is strong and more than able to take your breathe away. I loved the lines "Brighten my journey with your splendor, as you accompany me on my way." I thought that was so romantic and shone with togetherness. An enchanting poem, well done x

    i am crying. i am seriously crying.

    this.
    is.
    beautiful.

    if i have ever seen it--this is beauty. there is a bittersweet honesty to this that is so unmistakable and so just... has this way of nailing me right to my core. this is the first piece in this contest that made me cry. no worries that is a good thing.

    i said in the prompt that i wanted something that would give me that hole-in-the-soul feeling.

    this did it. this was it. hole in the soul is an understatement. you opened it up and tossed in a bomb while u were at it.

    absolutely amazing. i love this piece. more than i can express.

    so beautiful.

    thank you sooo sooo very much for entering this. this is exactly what i wanted to see.

    best wishes and best of luck!

    Well, this is a great tribute so someone. Quite heartfelt and well-expressed. At first I thought this was about a significant other, then about God. I think its a significant other, but you really must love and idolize the person.

    Very nice entry, thanks for sharing it.

    There is something warm and inspiring and at the same time sweet when I read this poem. Your gratitude, for whatever reason to this person is loud and clear, and it is easy to see why, while still retaining a sense of mystery. Thank you for entering this gem in my contest

    I don't know. There is something about when poems are in bunches like this. Oh and the red font over the black was an eye soar.
    I don;t want to come across as too heavy, but I really did like it, nonetheless. It is just that the presentation doesn't suit your obvious true talents here.
    thank you for entering
