Angel

The darkness is so harsh,
especially when you are alone.
It fills me with a threatening fear,
that I have never known.
But then I smile when I see you there,
and I am no longer afraid.
I feel a sudden joyful bliss,
for the loving dream that we have made.
Lips so sweet and soft as silk,
They send me out of control.
A smile so bright and laugh so kind,
that it could mend the soul.
That is what you do for me,
My wounds you help to heal.
a fantasy that has been forever contained,
Except that you are real.
The stars are jealous of your eyes,
for they shine with such an envious character.
A solid crystal that I will forever endure,
and bring back to the heavens there after.
I thank God for all the things he's done,
for all the hard times he helped me through.
But what I thank God for the most,
Is sending me an angel like you.
