Peace

With Nature, one, are all things here:
sky, sea and land in silence stand.
Such timelessness !  The seconds near,

float fanlike, linked by mental band,
and in the distance disappear.

Appear again as meanings clear

feel fuzzy, where 'to understand'

seeks fresh dimensions where frontier

no sense retains as views expand,

mirage impressions engineer.

Near, far, as one combine, adhere

to no fixed pattern finite, grand,

implicitly odd atmosphere

settles, upsets intentions planned,

may ease square pegs through circle, sphere.

    Excellent!

Very thought provoking & full of such deep meanings. The rhyme flowed well and wasn't forced- well done!!! We are all able to be at peace, if only everyone would see how joined all things are. Hmm... Sorry for the babble, but hopefully you get my meaning. Peace- Syah

    hmm

not sure if I like this one. I've read through it 5 times now and like different things about it. I like the thought of timelessness and discontinuity in space, but it doesn't seem to be a complete thought and I can't always tell what you're trying to say like at the end of the second stanza, and what odd atmosphere mean.

I have been thinking of you during the last three days ... it must have been telepathy, and soaring on the same wavelength of timelessness that has brought your poem onto the screen of my computer and the screen of my mind ...
my heart always leaps with joy when I see you writing this sort of poems - of course your poems are always amazing, but some of them are like the missing pieces of the puzzle of the ethereal world my own mind has created, embellishing the lush landscape of peacefulness in a very creative manner ...
heartfelt congratulations on the well deserved gold ...

Jonathan, the spiritual import of understanding and the reality of being, "no sense retains as views expand," lie in the perameters of this incredible poem. How much our thoughts connect nature and what we perceive expresess atmosphere. To grasp the infinite in some measure is to improve our reflection of life and slowly we come to terms with what it is, and find being expanded beyond only physical senses.

    Radiant words. Bookmarked

Nature is timeless hopefully if we treat it right, and peace is found where ever we feel at ease in life. Whether that is in nature or the poetics of others is individual choice but when meaning becomes clear it certainly helps matters. I find peace mostly where nature blooms and words flow smoothly but also in the most unlikely places too.
