The buzz is on who will be president;
what if the vote counts were in Oh Henry"s
chocolate bars,what sweet political affair;
straight to the White House, counting wrappers
Scratch and win
the new presidents in
he's a sweet man,
thinking why not, couldn't do worse than that other one
Roll up the rim to win;
the next president's in,
a nervous guy wondering why,
he's on a trip to Irak
Then its publishers clearing house;
bang on the window, rap on your door;
after all your president now,
no privacy any more
No more ballots
in the wake of the Gallup,
now its lotteries,
politics run by the eateries
Then one morning,
it's all in the cornflakes;
a ticket to be president
and a tour of outer space

Ha, that made me smile! Normally I don't enjoy political poetry as much as other stuff, but this was worth the click.
I love the title; that was basically what made me want to read it (and the fact that it was under the satire category
). Great job. I think you'll do well in the contest!

Hmmmm ....
too bad they didn't give Bush a ticket to go and then leave him on the moon ... or something.
