Sorry guys If I haven't been around
I'm trying to earn a few
Bucks && have my niece and nephews
Remember my face that wasn't from a photograph
Connecting with my sister
With a bowl of ice cream
or a few cookies each and
every night she's here
Sorry guys if I haven't been around
With my dad and his half
truths out of the picture
I can sort something
out in my past
So maybe I'll have less nightmares
and a clearer understanding of what
actually happened for those nine to
ten years at 20 Cornwall Ct Patterson NY
Sorry guys If I haven't been around
I'm making memories that are long over due
Coloring with Danny and Rayna
Feeding and playing with Jack
Reading them all bed time stories
Cradling them in my arms when they
cry those innocent tears
Sorry guys if I haven't been around
But I'm busting my ass being nice and
polite to hungry customers
Making pizza boxes and cleaning tables
Trying to build my studio and
help out my mom with the bills
Sorry guys If I haven't been around
No, scratch that,
I know I haven't been around.
But I'm still here.
Just a phone call away &&
That's not a cliche.
