we probably don't
fit together anyway.
All I ever did was try
to love you; hold
you against me as
the tears stole your
beautiful breath.
You only rejected
everything I am;
trying to give you
it all I caved into
my heart and it's
C-R-U-S-H-E-D.

Honestly, I felt every word of this poem. In a handful of flowing words you described a piece of my own self. "You only rejected everything I am" sums up my state of mind a bit over a year ago. An amazingly beautiful poem that captured feeling and heartbreak.
