See the world in many shades of grey,
Combining, never forming their own
simplicity, by which the world turns away
crying, hoping for a shade of something more.
With the dawn, shades of pink creep
the bleak horizon, bleeding out the grey
of the pre-dawn light, earth breathes
in the shades of the morning light.
As the sun reaches its zenith in the top of the sky,
Shades of blue, green, brown, and grey,
The colors are a riot of the senses
that sear the eyes, such beauty, pure joy, today.
But the beauty that is the most serene,
Shades of orange, gold, and brightest crimson
that light up the sky, there's a fire on the horizon,
Beauty in shades of color that light up the sky.
Twilight, shades of darkest sapphire,
Signal the night, starting in shades of grey.
