Take Away The Pain

Sing me a lullaby
To take away the pain.
Wash this dirt from me
Like the cool summer rain.
Take my tears and bottle them,
So someday they're a memory.
And even if they never will,
Be a shoulder to cry on for me.
Help me forget the hurt
I've been holding inside.
Give me a place other than paper
In which I can confide.
Save me from my own dark thoughts,
Because I can't on my own.
Despite what I myself like to believe,
I can't handle this alone.
Whether I've known you long or not,
I really can't complain.
I don't care who you are,
If you can take away the pain.

    Oooh, this is definitely a very well written poem, especially using rhyme. It had a good flow to it, and I didn't feel the rhyming was forced at all. Keep writing! Can't wait to read more someday ! ♥

    Your poetry has a lot of feeling in it, something that a lot of people can't achieve.

          yeah it really does. I actually couldn't sleep last night [of course] and this came to my head.
          so i wrote it down in my cell phone and put it on AP this morning lol
